Omega-3 fats are essential fats that the body can’t make, but pets must have in their diet. There are three most common Omega-3 fats: Eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA), Docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and Alpha-linolenic acid (ALA). They have important benefits for the heart, brain, and metabolism.
Omega-6 fatty acids are also essential fats, so pets need to obtain them from the diet. Omega-6 fats mainly provide energy for the body.
